“Absolutely well deserved Five Stars! Beautiful studios, highly professional staff, great variety of classes, and amazing group of kids and parents.
This excellent school was like a second home for my daughter for eight years before she joined The Houston Ballet Academy at a professional level. We can’t thank enough everybody who was part of that amazing journey. If you are looking for a dance studio for your child, The Academy of Dance Arts is the best school in the area!”

With ADAs talented teachers and top notch training, our daughter grew by leaps and bounds this year. ADA puts their students first. The environment is supportive, positive, and encouraging. The directors, office staff and teachers treat every student and parent with the utmost respect, professionalism and kindness. You can trust them to make the best recommendations for your childs training. Their focus on proper physical and emotional development in dance training is highest on their priority list. It is a wonderful environment for any level dancer and we recommend them without hesitation.

Both of my daughters have been dancing here for about 8 years now and absolutely love it! There is no other dance studio in the area that will match the training they are getting at the academy and the teachers really care about each and every student! If you want to dance, I would most certainly give this place a try!

Best classical ballet training in New Jersey. The teachers here are kind, caring, and really know how to teach and produce wonderful dancers. Highly recommend!

“The Mishoe’s run an amazing program with great teachers. Highly recommend if your child loves ballet or just loves to dance, this is the dancing school they need to be at. Most schools cater to the dance competition circuit and acrobatics. This school is pure ballet technique. My daughter added hip hop this year with a fantastic new hip hop teacher at the Academy as well.”

“After literally one Nutcracker season, my daughter’s performance in school improved significantly. She became more organized and prepared. Her listening skills sharpened and she was more alert in the classroom. She started to really pay ‘attention’. I was thrilled to see this change and will be forever grateful to ADA for teaching her this valuable skill. It was life changing across the board and has continued, along with her passion for dance.

I never understood the link between ballet and academia until my daughter performed in the Company of Dance Arts’ “Nutcracker”. She was in the 3rd grade and was assigned the role of a ‘mini mouse’. Initially, I had the impression it was a relatively simple part without much thought involved. I soon came to realize it was quite the opposite. When asked about her role of a mouse, she described it in detail. “We listen for the clock, and as it strikes, the mice run onto the stage.” Sounds straightforward but it isn’t. The mice don’t run onto stage haphazardly, there is a science to the choreography. While the clock is striking, they enter in timed succession. For this to take place, dancers need to pay close attention to what is happening. Key word being: attention. Attention was not always my daughter’s strongest suit. In school, she was super social, very chatty but struggled to pay attention. When performing in a show like the Nutcracker paying attention is not optional. Everyone has to pay attention or the show could be disastrous. There is the belief that all sports and activities increase chidrens’ attention spans. Which I believe is practically axiomatic. However, there is a key element in dance training which does not carry over to sports. That being the music. Music provides a platform in which dancers are able to synchronize their movements with finely tuned precision. This synchronization enhances performance and musicality becomes second nature.”

“My soon to be 10 year old daughter has been a student here since about age 3/4. Exceptional ballet instruction, the most amazing instructors, and run by the kindest & humblest couple you’ll ever find in dance. Coming from a dance family her grandmother was very picky as to the quality of dance instruction for her. ADA has exceeded all our expectations. 6 years and 4 Nutcrackers later this is still the place she’s happiest to be.

…I’ve watched this school operate with nothing but kindness and compassion for any child here. They have a very specific technique they use to ensure the safety of a child’s growing body so levels are kept tight.”

As an alum of The Academy of Dance Arts and a current professional dancer with American Ballet Theatre, it brings me great joy to see the high level of ballet training offered at the school and how much students grow from year to year when I come back to teach. Students are given wonderful opportunities to learn from current and former professional dancers, have beautiful studios to dance in, and are given fantastic performance opportunities throughout the year. Knowledgeable teachers, dedicated students, and a nurturing environment!! Proud to say that I come from ADA and that its the place that gave me the foundation for not just my ballet career, but also taught me lessons that have helped me outside of the studio! I am a working professional ballet dancer with American Ballet Theatre and was asked by directors Shayne and Nick to dance in the schools summer performance. I was so impressed by the facilities and the classes being offered at the school. (They have an entire studio dedicated to Pilates and GYRO equipment!) Shayne and Nick are both incredibly kind, easy to work with and very well connected. These students are so lucky! Connor Holloway

I am a broadway tour veteran who takes adult ballet at the academy. The academy has Top notch professional instructors, comparable to Broadway Dance Center, Steps, or Ailey in Manhattan. My four year old just started ballet with Miss Lisa. She could not possibly love it more. Whether youre a beginner or a pro, the Academy is the place for top quality ballet instruction.

KidGooRoo Review:

Highly recommend this school/program. This school teaches a classical ballet method with an emphasis on the love of dance! No recitals. All of the teachers are excellent!

KidGooRoo Review:

...classes are taught old school with a lot of barre work this isnt a school where you learn a dance and go to competition. Professional dancers get there start here and Id wager its the best in the area outside of NYC. The great thing is if you only want to take a class or two a week there is no pressure but beware most little girls get the fever here & after appearing in the Nutcracker you may find your daughter wants to spend all of her time here.

KidGooRoo Review:

...She is completely motivated by the environment. Everyone works hard and takes their craft very seriously. Although the initial vibe is severe, the teachers are wonderful with the students especially ms. sori and ms michelle! They make the girls feel good about mistakes while continuing to hold them to a very high standard. The overall result is a group of talented and motivated young dancers! Let me be clear here the goal at the Academy is to teach the students to dance, not to teach the students A dance. There are no competition dancers coming out of the Academy only performers, many of which go on to dance in college and beyond. I highly recommend this studio to anyone truly interested in the art of dance!

KidGooRoo Review:

My daughter loves the ballet classes here. This is classic ballet, often piano accompaniment, no frills classes. If you are looking for a fun but more serious ballet program this could be perfect for you!

“Just wanted to thank the studio, especially Ms. Church and Ms. Sori for training my daughter Jillian more than 10 years ago back in Red Bank. Although Jillian was only with the studio a short time, every training experience helped Jillian become the performer she is today. Jillian’s dream was always to perform on the big stage. Thank you for helping her dream come true.” Bill Mueller
