ADA students may audition for the Company of Dance Arts‘ annual productions of The Nutcracker and a spring performance. CODA is a non-profit, pre professional company affiliated with our dance academy.

The Academy holds an End of School Year Performance for specific performing classes, instead of an all school recital. Our dance academy held its 2023 performance at The Strand Theatre!

Students in levels 1 – 4 (approx. ages 5-8) have performance classes that participate in a year end, in-studio showcase!

Our dance academy offers mid year, parent observed Ballet Exams, called Technical Assessments, to Half & Full Program students in levels 4 & up, ages 7+.

Students demonstrate their technical capabilities to faculty & the directors and receive a progress report.

Half & Full Program students receive intensive competition coaching for venues that provide quality performance experiences. Full Program students are also invited to compete at Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP).

ADA’s students perform for judges who could further their dance career and gain perspective watching other students perform. ADA’s soloists and ensembles have advanced to the YAGP finals!

Every spring, our dance academy’s intermediate & advanced students organize an in studio performance, “Evening of Dance”, to benefit a local charity. In 2023, over $1,300 was raised for Family Promise!

Every summer Full & selected Half Program students are invited to participate in intensive programs that culminate in performance. In 2022, the Performance Intensive showcase was held at the Two River Theater in Red Bank!

Intermediate and Advanced students work with Contemporary faculty to create dance videos!

“… Professional dancers get there start here and I’d wager it’s the best in the area outside of NYC. The great thing is if you only want to take a class or two a week there is no pressure but beware – most little girls get the fever here & after appearing in the Nutcracker you may find your daughter wants to spend all of her time here.”
